This is not a complaint per se, but Hyundai and Kia have made a voluntary settlement to owners of 2011 and newer vehicles for miscalculating the fuel economy of several models. This is NOT a class-action lawsuit!

Quoted from the news story I read: "The errors involve 13 models from the 2011 through 2013 model years, including seven Hyundais and six Kias. Hyundai's Elantra, Sonata Hybrid, Accent, Azera, Genesis, Tucson, Veloster and Santa Fe. Kia models affected include the Sorrento, Rio, Soul, Sportage and Optima Hybrid."

This applies to current and former owners of eligible cars, and current owners will receive on-going refunds based on the average price of gas in your area and miles driven. The money is given in the form of a debit card that is reloadable. I personally am eligible for around $180 for my two Hyundais.

You will need the VIN number of your vehicle. If you qualify, you take the car (or proof of ownership and mileage) to the dealership and they will arrange for you to get the card. Go to the following websites, depending on which car you own:
